During his yearly trip back home with his crew, he happened to fly over one of our jobs in the scenic town of Hayden lake. Guzzi is no ordinary Goose; he has an intense love for building and a keen eye for detail which he can spot from high above. Guzzi developed a unique ability which he taught the rest of the crew, the ability to call out “hack” instead of a usual “honk”… One day, Guzzi and his team soared over head in a flawless V formation and spotted something amiss.

A Lakeview employee (definitely not the owner Branden) cutting stair stringers crooked! When I say crooked, I mean these things were bad! So he did what Guzzi does and he called it out, He turned his crew around and they circled the job site for 30 minutes squawking “HACK! HACK! HACK!” The workers looked up puzzled. “Is that goose yelling ‘hack’ at us?” one laborer whispered. A confused foreman looked up from a sketch drawn on a paper towel… He squinted into the sky as he realized it was the wrong deck. “What in the world?!” He turned down his radio and threw his empty coffee cup on the ground, nowhere near the trash pile. As he caught sight of Guzzi… still flapping and squawking “Hack! Hack! Hack!”, the crew began to investigate what this Goose was fussing about. Making their way over to the employee’s cut station, they found the worst set of stairs ever cut in construction. Every time he flew over, he’d survey the work below… ready to call out any quality control issues. “”HACK! HACK!” he’d shout, and the workers would look up, chuckling as they scurried to correct their mistakes.
The Lakeview team started to look forward to Guzzi’s visits. They quickly made him their official company mascot and even had his portrait placed on the tool trailers to pay respect to Guzzi the Quality Control Goose. Guzzi’s strict reputation spread quickly throughout Lakeview. Whenever a new project was announced, people would say “Better hope Guzzi doesn’t show up!”…This is the story of Guzzi the goose and how he became not just a guardian of quality, but a beloved symbol of the Lakeview Decks and Construction team. This proves that
you don’t need to be big to make a big impact, but you do need to put “Quality above all else!”

Lakeview decks did an outstanding job in designing and constructing our deck. They guided us through the design by providing many choices of material, sizing, and colors. We now have a beautiful view of the lake and forest and have a safe area for our family and pets to enjoy it. They kept the work area clean and neat and presented themselves as friendly and courteous.
