Founding Lakeview Decks and construction has always been a dream for me. So let me tell you how I became Coeur D’Alenes deck builder!
I first started in construction at the age of fifteen, framing houses for my step dad’s company. I went on to siding multi-million dollar homes for a well-known builder in North Idaho for a couple of years from 2006-2008 which is where I developed a strict eye for detail.
In 2008 I moved to Seattle and joined the Army Reserves, I deployed twice and I’m proudly still serving as a Staff Sergeant.
In 2014 after my deployment to Afghanistan, I started working for one of the best deck builders in the Seattle area, BHD construction. This is where I learned how much of an art building outdoor living areas really are.
It’s more than just building someone a deck, You are taking the homeowners personality, character, and ideas, mixing them with your own and creating a space that they will be spending time with friends and family in.
At the beginning of 2018, I moved back here to Coeur d’Alene and worked with several different builders in the area. I noticed many customers weren’t getting the customer service, craftsmanship, and personality in the work I felt they deserved.
When investing in a new deck, these specific areas should be automatically included! I didn’t feel the same sense of pride I felt when I worked with BHD, where these areas were heavily practiced, so I decided to go out on my own and do it myself.
